Out-of-Province Vehicle Inspection Near Chinook Centre in Calgary, AB

If you’ve recently moved or purchased a vehicle from another province, an out-of-province inspection is required before registration. At Heritage Auto Pro, we provide certified out-of-province vehicle inspections near Chinook Centre in Calgary, thoroughly checking safety components, structural integrity, and overall roadworthiness. Our technicians ensure your vehicle meets Alberta regulations, helping you complete the registration process smoothly and without delays.

If you’ve just moved here, or are bringing a vehicle into Alberta from another province or country, Heritage Autopro can help with an Out of Province Vehicle Inspection (OOP). Most vehicles coming into Alberta need to pass this type of inspection before they can be registered. Among these vehicles coming into the province, Heritage Autopro is especially equipped to inspect and repair Japanese Domestic Vehicles (JDM) and any other Right Hand drive (RHD) vehicles as well. Alternately, if you have souped up an antique, classic, homebuilt, or street rod vehicle without an Alberta registration, we can also help you with one of these inspections to prepare for getting your Alberta plates.

Heritage Autopro’s certified journeyman technician is licensed by Alberta Transportation’s Vehicle Inspection Program (VIP) to assess basic safety and mechanical fitness, including all mechanical components and structural integrity.

If your vehicle needs repairs to pass the inspection, our technicians can take care of the work. The government allows 10 days before needing to have another full inspection done, but if the repairs are done right away, only those outstanding parts will need to be examined to fulfill the inspection within the 10-day grace period. Once issued, the inspection certificates are good for 14 days for application of an Alberta registration. If the 14 days lapse, another inspection will have to be done. So before you start on the inspection, make sure to chat with our staff about your vehicle’s overall condition and obvious needs.

We will complete the inspection on the form you provide or, we have one that is recognized by an Alberta Registry Office. The inspection may take up to two hours to complete and your appointment may be booked here on this website or by calling us.

My Audi Q5 required a new battery after the 12-year old OEM battery was starting to show it's age. I purchased a good AGM battery and booked an appointment to have NAPA Heritage AutoPro install and code (program) the new battery to the vehicle's electrical system. The shop spent several hours using a few different scanners, but was unable to program the battery, due to incomplete markings on the new battery. They did everything possible to located the missing information and I greatly appreciate their awesome efforts! This was entirely an oversight by the battery manufacturer, and NOT Heritage AutoPro. I would highly recommend this shop for all your work. Thanks!

I’ve been bringing my Golf here for several years, and I can honestly say this is the most reliable repair shop I’ve ever dealt with. The team is knowledgeable, honest, and always takes the time to explain what needs to be done without pushing unnecessary repairs.
